How would u have felt, if you've come across the very own Dodge Charger R/T that Vin Diesel drove on his own and did a massive wheelie before being rammed by a Peterbilt train?

Or the silver with blue racing stripes on Brian's Skyline R34 on 2F2F...

Came across, i mean, literally see the car on it own, the car that was used to film it......The actual car ~

Now the Charger itself might not be any special, any person can own or built up a 1969 Charger R/T with a BDS blower on it, but what if the car Nicholas Cage's 'Unicorn' in his Gone in 60 Seconds movie? Enter 'Eleanor'....

2000 movie Gone in 60 Seconds stars Nicholas Cage and Angelina Jolie. Its the grand movie for grand theft autos and are widely considered the only car-related movie that has some value worth seeing. The movie also brings upon the word 'Eleanor' to us. Being a special car that Memphis Raines, Nicholas Cage's character, whos the ultimate car theft in the country, haven't been able to steal.

Official Licensed Gone in 60 Seconds badge by Classic Recreations, the company that is responsible and the only company in the world with the copyright to produce the vehicle for the film.

15 Eleanor was built (built, not modified) and 5 was used in the film itself. Pictured here, are car number 7 in the production, and 1st of the 5th that was used. Yeap, Nicholas's Cage's butt has touched the seats before^^

Bear in mind, Eleanor is not a Mustang. Enthusiast might recognize the car as a externally modified 1967 Shelby Cobra GT500, its true that that was the basic platform for the Eleanor. But thats where the similarity ends. As the car featured a purposed engine for it, the whole suspension in particularly, has been redesign and reworked, new steering system, new paint work, and standard nitrous equipped. (!) Pictured here is the signature of Denice Halicki, the wife of the original actor of the 1974 film of the same name, H.B Halicki. Denice is the person that comissioned the new Eleanor to be made for the 2000 film.

The car was bought by a person in Melb, and have it shipped from US to here, and was brought to NX Generation for a tune up. How ever the standard side exhaust system was found to be too restrictive, and therefore a new set of exhaust system from extractors to mufflers are currently being design for it. Here the 408 ci injected V8 can be seen, god i want the engine bay brace! Their fully adjustable on all ends.

Don't believe me when i say the suspension has been fully redesign?? Have a look at the purpose built diff center, as well as the adjustable coilover, 2 way adjustable by VariShock. Notice the diff angle, the sway bar stiffness, can all be adjusted, not to mention ride height, bump, rebound.....and notice the dead ended muffler box?? The exhaust pipe comes off the engine, down to the box, make a U-turn in the box, and comes out from the side, talk bout restrictive.

The front suspension, is where all the wonders are. Metallic blue colour reminds you of Cusco products aye? Not really, this is all standard with the car as its produced. The picture didn't do justice, but the camber, toe, castor, wheelbase, sway bar stiffness not to mention the same VariShock coilovers presents you full adjustability you can have ~ Not to mention the cool steering rack as well.

Scoops on the back are all functional, the one on the bottom is responsible for cooling the rear brakes, while the top on is for cooling....the rear passenger seat! Sharp eyed readers might notice....or might not....that the front bumper, and rear bumper, and the front fender, are all one part of the body. Basically the only part of the body part that you can take off, are the carbon fiber bonnet and boot (yup boot) and the doors.........so if the bumper of your Eleanor got hit hard, good luck ~ as Classic Recreations aren't producing this anymore....15 is 15 no more ~

Basically, this is one of the rarest car in the planet, as you can see, 1 out of the 15 in the world is just in front of me. For most people this might not be something significant, but everyone is obsessed bout limited edition stuffs. So picture yourself appreciating your limited edition handphone, or limited edition cigarette, or limited edition food maybe ~ But at the end, i've came across the car the delivered on the silver screen itself, the car that gives movie critics a good car-movie to watch, the car that introduces something new to the whole wide world, but best of all, the car that money may not be what it takes to buy, is within reach by me.........and is running on tyres that are pumped up by me ! ^^

- A driver sheds an average of two kilos in weight per Grand Prix.

- The average cockpit temperature is 50 degrees Celsius.

- A modern Formula One helmet is made of carbon and must not exceed 1,800 grams in weight, as stipulated in the regulations.

- Following the abolition of traction control, the F1.08 accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.75 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 5.05 seconds. It took 0.75 seconds - equivalent to 50 metres - to brake from 300 to 200 km/h, which equates to 4.5g.

- In extreme braking manoeuvres, drivers are briefly subjected to 5g.

- Carbon brake discs and pads need a minimum operating temperature of 500–650 degrees Celsius. During braking they hit temperatures of over 1,000 degrees Celsius.

- The hospitality unit, which takes twelve men 36 hours to erect, has 37 plasma screens running. 40 kilometres of cables are laid for the power and network supply.

- The kitchen is kept busy feeding and watering team members and guests: in 2008 average consumption per Grand Prix weekend amounted to 140 kilograms of meat, 100 kg of fish, 100 kg of fruit, 90 kg of vegetables, 40 kg of cheese, 1,000 eggs, 1,800 bread rolls plus 2,500 litres of water and soft drinks.

Remember the car that i said on the previous post that it was too extreme that i would open a new post just for it? That car~

Is the Ferrari 599 GTO

The first time i see this car in person i instantly recognize the hood vents and the bumper and know that this isn't the normal GTB, and the emblem on the seats confirms my guess. It is, the GTO, the fastest current Ferrari road car, ever produce.....

Front brake...including the 'Carbon Wheel Donut' brake cooling system which i dun seem to understand how it works, its just a plate, cover the brake disc....(squat at the front of the car 'examine' it makes me feel like a pervert.....for cars though)

The rear..... The first thing i notice about this car at the first time i saw it, was how wide it is ! It is on par with a Dodge Viper and who's ever seen a Dodge Viper before will know how WIDE that thing is compare to pictures.

19 Nov Spring Horse Power Challenge

First of all, im sure my blog has taken a different perspective as i seldom post any genuine self-take pictures anymore and instead just posted small individual post about certain pictures on the web or video, im deeply sorry as i have had zero free time, most of the time when im home i just can't be bothered as the fatigue and tiredness just sinks down into my heart everytime i have a chance to relax, how ever, i attended the Spring Horse Power Challenge which is a yearly national drag meeting held on Calder Park here in Melbourne with NX Generation. Its a big major event that has the top cars of the ANDRA (Australian National Drag Racing Association) Pro Series having one of their races. This comprises of the Pro Stock and Top Doorslammer class, which i will cover later. As well as a whole shootout for other smaller classes.

But first of all, NX Generation has 3 cars on the list of the smaller classes on this day, Ali Sead's Ford Capri on the Modified Street class, Vic Paplos's Holden Torana LJ in the Nostalgia class which i was the unofficial solo pit crew T.T... and Kaz's KAZMAN Holden Commodore VL turbo in the Super Eliminator class. But nonetheless, let me walk you through it....

Mind u this is a really spot on street car, with just the bonnet and extra large tires in the back, this car doesn't have any other 'race' purpose on the exterior....that is, just the exterior though. I was 'paired' with Vic as he fetch me from the workshop and we go there together. He was put through hell lot of trouble, due to poor organizing and bad luck, but no such problems existed for the car, until when he got knock out at the 3rd elimination round, after get the car back to the garage, only then he's fuel pump stops working. Talk bout timing...

Anyway, some pictures from Calder, sorry for the lack of pictures, as i was very busy with Vic and Pro Stock and Doorslammer teams aren't so happy with people taking picture of them working...understandable though~ over here, i spotted a mint old Merc SL that is all purpose built for one thing~ drag

Crowds were crazy!!! This is approx 5 times more then the Mean Machine show in Penang if local viewers from Malaysia are seeing this....imagine this little group on the hill, expanding the whole 500 meter onwards...

This is what a LJ Torana, same car that Vic runs, looks like, although without those nicely done up wheel arches.

Anddd a rocket-equipped FD3S.....there's a few cars that have jet engines or rocket or i-dunno-wat-to-call-them thing on their back, they are merely for exhibition runs and the sound and sensation of feeling the shock wave from the engine is just breathtaking. They aren't specializes in accelerating, but seeing their acceleration from half track is just incredible.....though not as incredible...as those Doorslammer.....

Going onto a drag race can be exciting, as you can feel and see all type of cars launching all out to the 400 meters, but at times it can be boring as well, but not bored out of the action, bored out of waiting! As we're needed to done a qualifying run, and then to the 1st and following elimination runs. Problem is, from qualifying, to 1st elimination, took 3 hours! And then another 3 to the 2nd elimination, all the Nostalgia class participants were furious and unsatisfied.

During a shootout, in which u race against someone in your class, it isn't straight forward as to the fastest will win. NO. In a shoot out, you do a qualifying run, sometimes 3 or 4 qualifying, and u get your time, in our instances, 10.60second. So our time for 400meter is 10.60sec. During the 1st elimination, you have to run AS CLOSEST to 10.60sec, who ever runs as close to their qualifying secs wins~

Example, we run a 10.60sec on qualifying. Opponent run a 10.20sec on qualifying. During shootout, we ran a 10.69sec, so a 0.09sec difference. While opponent run a 11.30sec, so 1.30sec difference, therefore we won as we have the smallest difference and was deemed closer to our qualifying number. Thn same for 2nd elimination, 3rd elimination and so on. Untill, the last 2. At that point, results will be counted, as the fastest guy wins.

At the end, Kaz's VL lose out too, so it was down to Ali in his class only. On the other hand, I was going onto the other side of Calder Park to have a peek at the 'big boys' in the scene, the Pro Stock and Doorslammer, there are at a shear level of difference compare to the smaller class. They come prepare with huge utility trucks, proper caravan, support crew, and straightaway you can tell this guys mean business. I have the option of seeing with my bare eyes of them performing a whole tear down of the engine, from valve cover, till the pistons. And you can see everyone is performing some activity somewhere, no one is doing nothing. Doorslammer are on a level higher then Pro Stock, while Pro Stock are 5sec cars, Doorslamers are 4sec cars. They utilizes EFI and Engine management while Pro Stock still uses dual carb.

This one was factory backed by Holden, and not just this car, but all the Top Doorslammer team have this thing when they work on the cars, notice the front part of the car?? Thats a special tool being use to store special tool or parts. Instead of putting everything on the table spread out, they have special self-made bracket to hold bolts, nuts, plugs, and on this case, valve covers.....talk about efficiency...

This is a Pro Stock car, notice the more simple front end compare to the Doorslammer?

This particular car belongs to would-be-winner of Pro Stock class Lee Bektash, who is a friend of Ali and drives for Mopar.

And since the big boys are coming down, there couldn't be short of some big boy's toys. Here, is a nice, 73 Corvette Stingray coupe.....man, i would just love this, with side large Caterham-like exhaust, and a blower or Dominic-Toretto-style-Supercharger on top, and on plain WHITE, is that perfect OR WAT ?!

There is another big boys toys, but it prove to be soooo extreme, i'm opening up a new post just for it...

And here..is the beast...this here, is a Top Fuel car.

Top Fuel car is the highest level or class in any Drag Scene, they are the penultimate level that you can reach when it comes to quarter mile....10000hp (yup, 10 thousand, its not a typo) nitromethane sucking monster. Fastest record? 3.8sec down quarter mile....i was in awe watching the people performing the final check up on this thing, it is MASSIVE, the rear wing will probably give u a good idea on how big it is...it was here on a exhibition run, and as soon as it did the burn out....we all noe, this level of sound and massiveness, is on 5 or 6 times to that of the Doorslammer...Ali went to me: "Close your ear Han, this is going to be loud", when Ali Sead (or my boss haha) speaks to you like a teacher, and when he say close your ear, and you can see he's closing he's as well, YOU CLOSE IT ~ I didn't listen, and was just merely puting my finger on my ear, the moment it goes back to line, the lights drop, with no sound or whatsoever, and then suddenly a hugeeee roar 3 times as much as when the car is doing the burn out just roars out, a shear sharp pain hit my ear and before i noe it, waves and waves of trembling shock wave travel through my body as the car launches almost wheel spin-less , i can feel it everywhere! The ground, my toes, my hands, my lungs, my hair, i can feel it directly, and before u noe it, it hit a 4.3sec down the quarter mile.....crowds cheered and went nuts! I didn't realize it, but i was 40-50 meters away, and yet i can still feel the pain and shock wave, imagine the driver! Before i noe it....I have just experience, the fastest and heaviest launch of a quarter mile in the world......

And back to the normal cars, this is also a purpose built, privateer 8sec 13B rotary-equipped FD3S RX-7.

the sound of rotaries can be heard one 5-6 cars among the day, however they all reside in older chassis such as RX-4, RX-3....but when they start it you can instantly recognize it, while V8's sounds crispy and sounds like they come in big punches, the rotaries can be heard as a loud but quick small pulses, picture a small displacement bike engine on straight pipe and your on the right track.

Wrong shirt on the wrong day on the wrong place on the wrong crowd...i wonder if he's on a Japanese drag meeting will he be hunt down by Bozosoku ???

For me, its been one of the best days i have had in my life. I experience alot, learn alot, and have certainly seen alot.....but before i close up this post, i would like to congratulate ALI SEAD on being the 2010 STREET MODIFIED BLOWN/UNBLOWN CLASS CHAMPION of AUSTRALIA! We've beaten cars such as a purpose built Mustang with twin turbo pumping 1600hp with a Capri that have only one single carby, aspirated, and 1380hp. At the end, its all about power and drivability~

Well really, my blog has been in a hiatus for a long time now isn't it? Reason being im just too pre-occupied with alot of things, primarily being i've got sick, now its been quite a while, and i guess my body just give up and say to me PLEASE, PLEASEEE, i dun understand, am i pushing myself too hard? Hmm~

Anyway, last week, we had our annual dinner for Evergreen United, now that the league is finish.
老崔, 燕航(congratz for a lovely baby boy!), and a宁哥, although he didn't play, he keep constant contact and caring for us.

宁哥's wife, 老杨, and 贺立龙.

李熹, our captain and backbone...it is becuz of him that everything works.

Evergreen United's veteran players, except me and 立龙, as all the other young players are not available.

It comes to us that, to win a league, is so hard and it takes more than just good players. It also takes alot of things into granted.

This dinner also mark a farewell for 立龙 who is going back to China due to his 1 year study program is coming to an end. He's been crucial to the team, exceptionally critical in the defense and starting attack, he's just the type of player that, wont give up. He teaches me alot, in the principle of life, and although he personally stated that he's not treating football seriously, albeit just for fitness purpose, we all noe how passionate he is. At the end, knowing him, you get that kinda feeling that 'this person is going to be one of those person that's going to change my life', and indeed he is.

And to have a new reform for myself, im changing number 99 to 1, as if everyone has given up, the number 1 player that will never give up will be me.

Ysterday mark the final match to our miserably season for 2010. We fought against Onetouchable, which is a local based team, and we play with 9 against 10 of them and we are have half the squad of our best players missing. So conceded 1 goal was a bless in disguise actually. And since the goal was from a bad luck clearance from our player that contributed to it. But overall we stay true to our game, we didn't give up, we're daring to attack and was capable of winning the game as well as questions the abilities of Onetouchable as the 2010 season Division 2 CHAMPION.

Following this season of playing and training, i come to realize, that football is really not a one man game. Those fairytales that tells of a player single handed wins the game are either fake, or exaggerated. True that one player can singlehandedly affect the game, but he alone, canot win the game. Lose the game however, well most of the time there's always somebody to be blame isn't it~

I felt that i improved more on how to positioning myself, and also instead of play superman and tru to catch all kind of ball from all kind of direction, why not play smart first and just play by try to estimate where the ball comes from and try to narrow urself down to the path that the ball is going to come. Also always expect that from the first second the game start, that the next moment the opponent gets the ball its going to be a goal. If you think that the game is still 'young' and goal wont come untill later end of the game, ur dead wrong. I guess its what's call 觉悟, and it works the same to all the things in the life. If your scare about getting it wrong, u wont improve i guess. Always try to be fierce to other players as soon as game starts, and must be daring enough to make daring decisions, if you had your mind and your eye on the ball, nothing will ever go wrong. So now i'm more confident on my self now, and just dying to get back into another game again.

As for the team, we could have had a much much better result, but at the end of the season we're suffered from lack of numbers of players as well as internal conflict and unfortunate issue, lack of firepower in the front is a main culprit of our bottom ladder result, but with nearly all the first team squad isn't available, we're down with just the reserve players and couldn't even field a proper 11 with sub on game day....so its just one of the result that just can't be help. Nonetheless, when we're playing for a team, its important to never give up, doesn't matter how discouraged and emotional you are, doesn't matter how bad the odds are stacked against you, and that's one of the main thing i've learn this season.

As the league is now coming to an end for La Trobe Uni, this might be the last training session.

We started the session on RMIT Bundoora on a synthetic pitch ^^. This is the first time i've played on a synthetic pitch actually, and boy is it soooo damn nice!!! Its 180 degree flat and the grass are all nicely put on. But when i dive or if u took a tumble on the pitch brace for a sharp abrasive pain T.T.

We had a good light training session, which saw me had a better understanding of positioning, which always tend to keep to the outside of the post abit more when ur guarding your angle, cause what i always do is to cover my near post too much that i left my far post open wide....

We finished early to go back to La Trobe's ground for the Annual General Meeting, but today's training session made me realize that you can still enjoy football in some other way ^^.

The V-spec II Nür is actually a limited edition of R34 GT-Rs, being only 750 in the world, and although the difference is mainly on the engine part, with the Nür edition has the RB26DETT N1 engine that Nismo uses in the motorsport scene, but just the meaning of it being one of 750 in the whole world is just mind blowing, and boy did i stumble upon one myself.

You really can't go wrong with that look....The GT-R just have that look that differs itself from the low line GT-T or GT-S...

Now in this dark picture (sorry bout that) is a picture of the aluminium lower arm of the front suspension. Now attached to the lower arm, is a aluminium plate, which doesn't seem to do anything at all.....but then it hits me that this is actually a self directed brake cooling system, the front bumper channel cool air through the side holes on the lower part of the bumper, and the air that gets channeled hits the plate, diverting their air path, onto the brakes. Talk bout pure motorsport oriented engineering......

As my friend Victor says "The best part of a GT-R lies in the boot", as this pic justifies that. Here we have the battery on the rear, and beside it, is the computer or ECU for the ATTESA-ETS 4-wheel-drive system. One of the reason they place this just beside the battery might be to decrease the little resistance that length of the wire produced, talk bout detail....and also a adjustable strut bar for the back ~~

So there you have it, one in the 750 only in the world...a clear example of the engineering level 10 years ago, and what scale would it be like, in another 10 years.....

Maybe nowadays car has lost that detailed engineering, or passion, that 10 year old cars seem to have, and proud of. But its not to say that future automotive is sure to die from marketing strategy and profit margins, it is just that.....it might become rather irrelevant, for future cars to have this kinda engineering level, as fewer and fewer people will appreciate it, even acknowledge it.

But at least there's cars of the past, cars like this, that reminds us of how the true cars, that was engineered with pure passion and patience, and that true will of delivering the best to people instead of wiping the butt of the CEO with their clever marketing scams or brilliant advertising skills.

It is cars like this that offers a consolation for the genuine car enthusiast, and it is cars like this, the GT-R, that has been dead for more than 10 years, that keeps automotive alive, with its demise.

Almost 13 years ago, when my dad bring the whole family here to Melbourne, he bought one of this as well. 13 years later, we stumble upon this again. Its a coin purse, a purse that is for putting coins in it, now what special bout this one, is that its made from kangaroo's leather.....or more precisely, a kangaroo's scrotum's leather~~.

Now a scrotum is the name for the 'sarung' of the guy/man/boy kangaroo or any other organism's testicle or 'telur' ~ Seeing that this thing is on hot sale as one of Australia's 'trademark item' for so many years now~~ everyone should buy one of this as a souvenir when ur here in Oz^^

This, is Vodka Cruiser, a nice kinda alcoholic beverage that i seem to adore ^^^^^ 10% alcohol doesn't seem to make me drunk this one ~

Engine on the rear structure....this is abit irrelevant to a normal F1 car, as a normal F1 car has the engine and gearbox as a part of the car itself, and isn't bolted to the car's chassis, making the engine and gearbox as a stressed unit and holds the rear wing, suspension, wheel all in place.

And as i got on the plane back to Malaysia, we were traveling with Air Asia airline, and i spotted that, on their First or Business Class, they have this fold-able seat which can make u lie down 180 degrees, this would require a large space behind the seat to make clearance, now on this space behind writes NO STOWAGE...now pls someone correct me and tell me, Air Asia didn't just do a typo on ALL the seats of their First or Business class seats !!

And the first car that caught my eye (well, other than the Kancils, Kembara, Hot weather, Wira with GT-Wing, at one point a Kancil with Racing Boy decal on its windscreen) is this, the Satria Neo CPS, and i think it looks much more better than the R3 Lotus Racing Edition...

On my way back to Melbourne, caught this peculiar scene of everyone having a go at the World Cup Semi Final match between Germany and Argentina, where Germany won 4-0, least the polices were 'busy' watching at this ~~~~

8 balls missed in 2 matches what can i say more....

The game was a game of endurance...the first to lose the concentration lose, and we lose. Only 11 players, we were unable to field anymore extra players as substitute for the tiring players, while W.Crusade was a better team today with alot of attacking and long balls.

We did well on first half, even though we were 0-1 down we didn't give up and was keep pressuring, but during the last 15 minutes we were hammered the other 3 balls in....thats when things all go wrong.

Losing 8 ball in 2 match leaves a devastating effect on a keeper, while none of the ball was for my fault, i felt deeply responsible and sorry for my teammates.....W.Crusade wasn't particularly strong, but lack of players and their long ball have gotten the best of us...

Lego F1....Melbourne Trips concludes Pt.1

Soooooooooooooooo long ago when my sis and dad and family got over here for holiday and rite now, only i managed to find some peaceful quite time to complete this trip....and how cool is that i managed to get myself a Lego F1 set from Victoria Market?????

The parts in packets, this is a imitation of the Lego Technic 8386 Ferrari F1 Racer 1:10, its a big set that is 47cm or 18.5 inch long and feature a thorough 60 page of instructions. This model features a V10 engine block with movable piston-con-rod-crankshaft simplifying a combustion engine, coupled with a differential, although lacks of cylinder head (cam, valves etc..) and also rack and pinion steering system, which acts on the same principle as a normal rack and pinion steering system. But the car does not feature independent push-rod suspension, nor a fully functional gearbox...which is a shame...

MATCH 11 Evergreen United 0-4 Kakibangku FC

The highlight match of the day....Kakibangku FC 4-0 Evergreen United...

We started the match without our captain and another important defender, this turns out to be disaster as we have our defense line unorganized, and therefore we are 2 goals down from 5 minutes onward....

Throughout the whole game Kakibangku FC dominated us in the form of ball control, ball movement, positioning, and physical strength. Although they aren't the fastest, their speed is still a killer amongst us especially the aged players. But bottom line, their long ball and positioning is the one that clearly separates the level between us. We play sophisticated, ground ball and involves tighter positioning with more touches; Kakibangku FC plays simple, long ball with wide positioning, the opposite of us, and the better of us. While their midfield plays a contain style football magnificently....from my point of view, this team is clearly on State 3 level...

From long ball, their physical sizes outplayed all of us and is always the dominating party in the midfield due to their large size players. From center onwards we have no chance of penetrating their even better defense, but however we try from the sides and Logan was clearly defective againts them today as he's speed was clearly slower then the opponent's wing back. All the Kakibangku players were versatile, fast and agile enough to play very good long ball, typical Malaysian, we learn to play long ball before ground ball....

By second half we were 4-0 down, and the fact that we player a flat-4 defense is mostly the thing that we needed to improve more. Things would have been better if we had played a Last Man in the back, with 3 other defenders up front. This would have been a more defensive defense tactic, and we needed our captain for this formation but sadly, he wasn't free today. A flat-4 defense is a more attacking defense, the theory is that once the centerback has gotten the ball he has a wider option to pass and the wing back is directly open to start the attack. In this case i think our team underestimated the importance of positioning and long ball.....

Although we missed 4 balls, it doesn't matter much as the most we can get out of them was a tie, and even that, we canot achieve, let alone say win.

Last monday was a nice training session, after we did our usual warm ups (warms ups now are getting tougher and tougher) but not to give up is still the usual word i tell myself. After that we move to another pitch which is a footie pitch. The pitch is quite nice, flat, DRY and was nice to play soccer in.

It was really a nice and interesting training sessions as heaps of people turn up for both the Thirds and Fourths, and we had a game between the two, although in a mix match sides, and was very happy with how the La Trobe's Thirds and Fourths team have now improve. They played very simple game, covered a large area of the field, open up wide, and was very quick with ball, they were seriously moving the ball around quite cleverly too ! I was in awe of how the player have all grown and improved....

And i wasn't so bad either ~ I only lost 1 ball throughout the whole session, lets hope the good luck continues ^^

MATCH 10 Evergreen United 1-1 Thai FC

Second leg of our league match against favorites Thai FC saw us desperately trying to get some points and to repay their 'kindness' of the 0-3 thrashing by them on the first leg. This time we came up with a strong line up and with a new striker playing a middle striker role we plan to take them down.

We started out strongly but possessions were on their advantage with some through passes as well as 3 shot on targets which i managed to get hold on, on from a free kick, one from the middle and one from point blank angle (well he shot at me so wasn't feeling so good bout that one) but we still haven't manage to push them over to their side of the field and give them pressure. As expected, Thai FC's midfield controlling was top notch...constantly switching sides and having their wings as far out as they could.

But unexpectedly was that, some of Thai FC's players weren't here, probably thats why they couldn't have deadly finishes against us. But nonetheless, one quick touch and Thai FC's striker quickly run in the penalty box and as i stand there, trying to cover the near angle of the goal, but tat moment, 50% of my brain tells me to go out and go one vs one with him (mind you there was 3 defenders on his tail) but before i can react, there goes the shot to the far post that i left too wide open...0-1.

Second half started, and immediately we are hammering them from all directions, left center right, with the wrestler type defenders of Thai FC standing in our way, but work pays off with a free kick from the half way line bounced of a header from one of the defender and into their net ~~ that scores as the equalizer. But we hold possessions on well and kept trying to penetrate their defense and hopefully, the back of the net, but to no avail, the final whistle blew just before that could happen.

Overall, we should have taken them out and claim 3 points, but due to unlucky circumstances........but think bout it, we went from a team that use to lose 1-6 or 2-5, to a team that can out play the top teams, and we still have players on suspension !

MATCH 9 Evergreen United 5-1 MCU

We are approaching middle of the season and is not going into second rounds of the matches we've played before. Firstly we've played MCU before this and were lost surprisingly in a 2-1 score and were doomed by lack of finishing.

This time its the other way around, as we scored our second win in 9 games, and both our wins are in big margin, this time, its 5-1 for us.

We started the game in a 8 vs 8 game as both we and MCU were down on players who were unavailable for the game. The pitch was in bad shape, so bad, that the ref actually gave us option on forfeiting the game and have it played on a later day after the tournament, and that's not a confirmed suggestion, and if the re-match cannot be arranged, its down on penalties! Without taking any risk, we decided to play on.

As first half started we converted one goal in through BQ which was starting striker today and with the assists of a new player who was Man of the Match today, Logan. Logan was instrumental today in the win, with 3 assists and 1 goal from him through the left side of the pitch. MCU wasn't a threat at all for 80% of the whole game and was left 3 goals down when Jonathan add another on just before half time.

Second half started, and as MCU stepped their game up abit and is not pushing their defense and possessions onto the our half of the pitch, and had one or two shots on us but that was it, untill a dreaded corner come crossing in, their player got a head on, and i somehow, just somehow, under my subconscious, push the ball upwards instead of grabbing it, although i later resort that it was beyond my comfortable reach and i would not undertake a risk where i need to perform a save or take that is uncomfortable for me, and risk doing it wrongly and end up as a goal. But nevertheless, the header comes in, and the ball fly spiraling towards me and as i parry it, it was still dropping in on goal line, but i manage to get it almost half a meter from goal line and MCU's striker come and pushes me into the goal net. Almost certain that it was a foul, the ref awarded the goal !

Furious i got robbed by my clean sheet....i keep away from further dispute with the referee and play on, and with 老杨 and 雪飞 each got one for the team, we ended up 5-1.

Both my parents are Malay. My mum's heritage includes Chinese, Thai and Arab, while my dad is Minangkabau. Due to my skin colour, I am often mistaken for a Chinese.

I'm happy that I don't have the typical Malay look but I do get annoyed when people call me Ah Moi or ask me straight up "Are you Chinese or Malay"

Like, why does it matter? Before I used to answer "Malay" but now I'm trying to consciously answer Malaysian instead.

There's this incident from primary school that I remember till today. Someone told me that I will be called last during Judgement Day because I don't have a Muslim name. Of course, I was scared then but now that I'm older, I realise that a name is just a name. It doesn't define you as a good or bad person and there is definitely no such thing as a Muslim name. You can be named Rashid or Ali and still be a Christian.

I've heard of the 1Malaysia concept, but I think we don't need to be told to be united. We've come such a long way that it should already be embedded in our hearts and minds that we are united. Unfortunately, you can still see racial discrimination and polarisation. There is still this ethno-centric view that the Malays are the dominant group and their rights must be protected, and non Malays are forever the outsiders.

For the concept to succeed, I think the government should stop with the race politics. It's tiring, really. We grew up with application forms asking us to tick our race. We should stop painting a negative image of the other races, stop thinking about 'us' and 'them' and focus on 'we', 'our' and 'Malaysians'.

No one should be made uncomfortable in their own home. A dear Chinese friend of mine said to me once, "I don't feel patriotic because I am not made to feel like Malaysia is my home, and I don't feel an affinity to China because I have never lived there.

I know some baby Nyonya friends who can trace their lineage back hundreds of years. I'm a fourth generation Malaysian. If I am Bumiputra, why can't they be, too? Clearly I have issues with the term.

I think the main reason why we still can't achieve total unity is because of this 'Malay rights' concept. I'd rather 'Malay rights' be replaced by human rights. So unless we get rid of this Bumiputra status, or reform our views and policies on rights, we will never achieve unity.

For my merdeka wish, I'd like for Malaysians to have more voice, to be respected and heard. I wish that the government would uphold the true essence of parliamentary democracy. I wish for the people to no longer fear and discriminate against each other, to see that we are one and the same.

I wish that Malaysia would truly live up to the tourism spin of Malaysia truly Asia. Malaysians to lead - whatever their ethnic background. Only ONE NATIONALITY MALAYSIAN. No Malays, No Chinese, No Indians - ONLY MALAYSIANS. Choose whatever religion one is comfortable with.

Remember it was Dr M & UMNO who destroyed Tunku's Malaysia.

Training 40 marks the first training after a long month of absence, and it wasn't a pleasant one....

We start of training with raining weather and cold wind, with temperatures (im not joking) about 4 to 5 degrees, and im wearing....summer apparels for football =.=.......

It was as cold as hell, my hand was all numb i could't even get into my gloves, my knee is still hurting from a injury from playing in Msia (shit turf...), my knees are all pain, literally my whole leg is at pain due to the coldness of the weather. To be honest, if u ask my personal point of view, playing in hot weather, is better than playing in the cold weather. It is much harder to cope with freezing environment then playing in a blistering hot weather, in hot weather u can sweat, but in cold weather, its very hard to focus and keep ur A-game on, u find ways to cope with the pain (yes, pain!) from the cold weather, one touch with ur feet, one step with ur feet, all translate into pain, and ur hand, all numb up, couldn't even move or literally function to grab, not to mention slamming your body on the ground with that much pain going on......but nonetheless, if your gonna be the best your gonna have to strive past now do u...

One dissatisfaction is that we have a drill, 2 person on each, one person start out with the ball towards the other person, and have to use their imagination and creativeness to 'Ronaldo' pass the other player...... I MA KEEPER WAT AM I DOING THIS FOR ?!

Its not like im gonna dribble past a player, and if i do anyway im just get scold for a typical goalkeeper no-no..........

Fast forward for awhile i would like to share with u guys the famous Queen Victoria Market~~

Queen Victoria Market is one of the main tourist attraction point of Melbourne, known for its wide selection of stuffs u can find there, from shirts, to snacks, to artistic stuffs, to people doing live portrait drawing, to people selling toys, all at a affordable price and great deals, example 5 sets of key chains pack (1 pack have 6) cost 5 dollar.....and things like this ^^ i manage to get something well extraordinary from there as well ^^

For breakfast we had a nice meal just on the row of cafes near the market, with Uncle John joining us for it, sadly we're too hungry to remember to take pics and therefore sorry Uncle John when you read this (and i know you do~thanks for that ^^) and thanks alot for buying us that lovely breakfast and a lovely dinner beforehand~~ Pictured here is my all time favorite, Egg Benedict, well that specific cafe serves a not-so-generous portion of Egg Benedict, they usually comes in the form like this plus 2 toasted bread with baked potato and some side salad as well, but, let me explain wat this is, its basically, two poached eggs, each serve on top of a toasted bread and served with Hollandaise sauce which is like a creamy soury sauce, that is like mayonnaise, but with more flavor and fragrance in it.....a poached egg is prepared by boiling a pot of water, put a big spoon in it first, then crack the egg onto it, and then proceed to wait for it to cook about 70 percent, or if the egg is in room temp, about 2 minute 30 to 40 seconds, and then use the spoon to scoop it up, it should have a solid egg white but a runny yolk in it.....

The market, it looks exactly like a pasar malam, but without the foul smell and the hotness from the sun~

The house, is a joy to stay in, with everthing u could possibly dream of its there, u can plug ur iPod, if u have on, to a radio or player compatible with iPod, its amazingly artistic, and everything is in top shape~! Juzzzz one small thing.......there's no Wifi connection...well there is, but the landlord say the electric guy did something to the cables in that area and the wifi became unstable due to that...but it will be fixed...i hope....it cost us 1200AUD for 8 days of staying, and judging from the state of the house, and the position of it (its just 1 minute away from Smith St, which is the liveliest, crowded street in Collingwood....i say its worth the price, yes it is almost RM4000 for 8 days of staying, but when ur traveling to a country that has 3 times the currency of RM, u are prepared to spend dun u.....and 55 Webb St is a sure choice to be recommended.....

Melbourne Zoo ~ Pt 1

First of all let me apologize for the lack of update as ive been soooo bz with stuffs lately~

But lets resume the posts bout my family's stay in Melbourne ^^
As we plan to coincide with my sis's bday we had a small bday celebration in my house ~
Me dad, Carmal, Annie, Yiok Huan, Cheryl (my sis and the former is my sis's husband), with Katherine, we had a great meal with Annie and Carmal prepared a great great lemon cake and we had a fabulous Indian takeaways which is very very nice ^^

Another picture as we had a little surprise for Sis back in our rented home that is just near my house, notice the small White Mousse Cake that we bought for her?.

Strawberry Sparkling wine, but it actually has 10% Alcohol ~~~ we plan to buy something that lil Katherine can take as well but as it turns out, if she were to consume alcohol and by some how SWAT team raided our house with her hugging the sparkling wine, we would have been in deep shit that will costs us RM30,000,00+ (!!!)

The next day we went to the Melbourne Zoo~ which is actually the first time i WENT to a Zoo in my lifetime~~

This is a Platypus, or 鸭嘴兽, this animal is a semi-aquatic mammal and lives by making nest underground without the present of sunlight, or infrared presence.....so in the zoo, ur treated with a dark room, with only a tank showing the platypus, swimming freely, with ultra violet illuminating the tank....get scratch on you from them is poisonous though not lethal~just pain, pure pain ~~

What a thriller it is ~~ As it turns out, infamous Chinese 'came-from-the-future' man was wrong, dead wrong, but Paul the Octopus might find its way of earning an OBE or Datuk-E or watever that is, as its 100% record of foreseeing the winner remains.

Spain fought the usual 'beautiful football' while Holland opted for the more harsh 'rugby' style in the game, this was seen with the record number of 13 yellow cards were flung out as well as a red for John Heitinga of Holland in the extra times, but their roots of Total Football can be seen heavily in this game, it is such a way that Spain couldn't work their magic out for the first 90 minute. Arjen Robben and Wesley Sneijder were the more menacing side instead of David Villa and Co. of Spain, but at the end, maybe due to fatigue kicks in or the introduction of Fernando Torres into a pack of die-out wolfs, as Holland was sloppy and were visibly tired facing against one of Spain attack, probably would have been their last if Holland had defended it, but it started out from the left, and with a decent pass from Fabregas unleashed the mis-guarded Andreas Iniesta and he powered home the winner with just 6 minute to go into penalties.

But you couldn't have blame Holland, Spain's player was almost based on a combination of Barca AND Madrid~ Their both the two top team in their league, has been playing at a high level and achieving high level achievements, and guess what? Their in the same national team all together as well ~ Sergio Ramos probably have made remarks on Puyol's defence on the last Barca game in the dressing room as their conversation starters, probably this is why Torres didn't perform to he's usual self.....he couldn't 'blend in' maybe??

But at the end, Spain 1-0 Holland, Iniesta on the 116 minute. Even though Holland didn't play what football is 'supposed' to be played, but i personally think Holland deserves the win, partly due to their deep philosophy in football, as well as being one of the great performing teams in the world, their the one without silverware, or did they? Nvm, no one remebers anyway, who could have forgotten Italy's 06 World Cup win, Brazil's 02 Samba fever, Spain's recent Euro win, well France back in the 98, what bout Holland?? Oh yea.....they have V.Nistelrooy for a moment and who again ??? Underrated and underachieved is what i branded Holland team....They have the quality of players, the quality of playing, but unfortunately, they still have one thing missing, that one star up on their badge.

Overall, player of the match, Andreas Iniesta obviously for scoring the winner, but player of the tournament? Wesley Sneijder~

Philip Island Trip Pt:3 San Remo

One of the main attractions other than Philip Island was San Remo, the small peaceful little town just before the entrance to Philip Island.

And wats main attraction that San Remo had other than the famed Pelican Feeding...for every 12pm noon on a daily basis, the staff from the San Remo Pelican View restaurant will go out and feed the Pelican with overnight fish, a clear sign that they uses good and fresh fish everytime.

Out side of the center was a big big gum tree that was said to be over 200 years old. Gum tree was the only tree that u can find a koala on it, chewing gum leafs...

The center is a part of a Nature Tour package, which u pay for a certain price, and u will have a free pass to the Koala Conservation, The Penguin Parade, Churchill Island and The Nobbies. For the Koala, u get to go out on a wild footpath and u need to spot whatever that is out there by your own. I only got a couple pics out of it as my phone was low on batt that day...

The koala are really the most lazy creature i've ever seen, we've seen a few of them and all of them are asleep, or mayb its just cuz their nocturnal, anywayy just for your information, should a koala pee on top of a tree (which is rare cuz they seldom drink..) the pee will come down in a big splash that evasive maneuver is impossible...see if you can spot a koala on this pic?

Phillip Island Trip Pt.1

First time i went to Philip Island was with Kangan Batman TAFE during our V8 Supercar trip, that was around September last year, and i didn't experience quite enough of what the whole island is all about, untill now.

First of, we check in on the Coachman Motel to 'unload' our luggage and stuffs, and boy oh boy was it plain heaven ^^

The car that we rent for the trip..a Mitsubishi Magna V6 station wagon....might not be a 'everyones-car' for a motoring enthusiast but damn it does the job alrite ~~

After wards we went to the Penguin Conservation Center..

Just like it says !

The conservation center was very cool, u get tons of information plus souvenir shops that sells penguin related stuff and it was really nice, all the stuff was of quality made but prices are abit pricey though... The penguin lives together in pack, or groups. And they all travel or hunt together, it is very critical to disturb the groups as in separating them or so, so when we went to watch them, we were deem to be very silent and no-camera policy applied. It was very a nice experience as i have never seen a penguin before..they all come from the beaches in groups and followed by some more groups it was very well co-ordinated and so on. We saw alot up-close but the penguin only comes out in dusk, which is almost nite, so it wasn't very visible....but nevertheless, u might have a chance to stumble upon one in the carpark. No pictures allowed so.....sorry ^^"

They have a in-house built penguin nest for them and u can view their behaviour in their habitat and its camera friendly.

Catherine got a penguin from my dad and she treat them like her friend....she say their sleeping now so dun kacau them, somemore put blanket..T.T

We are Family~

June 12 is the day where i was finally able to meet my family after an almost 12 months hiatus from them, they were going to come and visit me whilst spend a few days here in Melbourne...so rite on the time, i was there....waiting ~

And there they are, happy family ^^^^^^^

We settle onto the St. Arnaud Guest House, which is a beautiful house by the way, and is an excellent choice for backpackers and friends.

The whole house, dun let the appearance fools u, it is a M-A-Z-E inside..T.T with heaps of rooms and other functions, such as lounge, kitchen, computer room..

This is a Hahn Super Dry beer, a beer which is named after me.......once my dad settle down the first thing he did was looking for beer, i should have taken shots of beer he bought as he have a different variety to try out haha, and according to him, they do taste different ! The league have stopped untill 19th of June as a mid way break, so immediately Monash United, having being from a fierce enemy to a respectable rival called us for a friendly match on their ground.

Monash United is formed by a group of Chinese from Monash University, and have been very good as they are a combination of young and skillful players. They are now in the Division 1 whilst we are in Division 2 so being one Division higher means they are in a higher standard than us.

We started the game losing 0-1 first, but then fought back to a 3-1 victory on first half ! Unbelievably was that, we were playing one of our good game so far. We open up wide, we were playing long passes, short one two passes, and we attack from left, right channel and the center midfield as well, and thing work very good for us with a lot of chances getting set up and through ball played into the penalty box which is a great thing. Of 2 point-blank misses by us should have made the game 7-0, although we settle with a 5-2 win over Monash as we continue play our game till the end.

Today i realize, a winger's main advantage is speed, and disadvantage is speed as well. Without speed, a winger is literally useless, it is with their speed that they can unleash a fast 90 degrees attack but if the speed is cut off, the attack (not the winger) is literally cut off 50% already....i wont dwell too much about this.......Cruz if u see this u and u dun get the meaning msn me ^^ as im toooooooooo sleepy d guys ~~~ ><"

Both training wasn't as lively actually.....on Training 38 only 6 players turn up for training instead of usual 17.......its really sad seeing how our coach was so dissapointed that he leaves early and just ask us to train with the Fourths.......Again the goalkeeper trainer FFK again...duno what the fuck happen but other than that, just have simple drill and shot training as usual....

Its been 7 match....5 more matches and its half the season, but the draw of the game with Genesis makes our progress 1 win, 3 loses and 3 draws. Not a good result to be hold of...but still....not much we can do....

Today's game with Genesis isn't a particularly tough one, but still not a particularly easy one as well. Although Genesis hold their game in a slower pace, much slower than us, but with good control and body advantage they even things out with us. We started the game greatly by a 1-0 lead through a calm cool chip over the keeper by our coach 老崔. But sadly things turns sour as we have a free kick conceded right on the outside of the box. I was sub at first half and was due to go in on second half, so i was keep analyzing their game and such. When we were hit by the free kick i notice our GK have stand out of his line quite far, almost 1 meter out of the line, and i was thinking this isn't good....as they might chip in from there.....and turns out they did ! They have a good but slow curler in, GK managed to beat it out but hits the back post and rebounded into the goal after hit the GK's back. But nonetheless we struggle on and almost have a good chance when Ryan was found 1 on 1 with the keeper, but the keeper deny it subsequently.

Second half comes in and i was introduce to the game. I was having quite alot of trouble with me goal kicks as the wholeeee penalty box area was muddy and without the presence of grass, as a result i dun have any grip at all in the penalty box, not to mention kicking the ball over the halfway line....in one instance i 'drifted' in the penalty box somemore....damn T.T

We played our game too fast......way too fast, that we dun even have ball possession going. The moment we have the ball we send it straight up directly to our strikers, but with no avail. We concluded at the end of the day that we're too greedy, we wanted to take on our opponent in one goal; instead we should have start thing slow, get the feel first, and then maintain our possessions at first, before slowly pushing our possession zone up onto their side of the pitch. Sometimes football isn't just about scoring goals, it can be about controlling the ball as well, eventhough we wont score from that, we're not giving the ball away too.

So today's main topic ball possession........we had a good lesson today..........

More and more training sessions i participated in, the more confidence i get and i can felt the difference between now and before i started the training.

Alot of things have become sort of a common sense to me now. How to catch, how to position, how to jump, after jump, it all become almost a natural reflexes to me now. Still training on 36 was quite hard...

We start of with the running over the small Yellow dot which are cones actually, before sprinting through a ladder being lay flat on the ground, and jump over series of stands, before going sideways through the Red dot which are cones as well, and then running backwards to the other cone, and thn do another series of the stands, ladder and cone thing again, before going through a series of poles and running over them before start again. This was 1 set, we did 7 set i think......

Was gasping for air that time, its been a long time since the official training star that we have such intensive runs, but felt good after that. As we proceed to goalkeeper training amongst us goalkeepers as the coach didn't turn up this time, both the training as well. But overall was happy with the training on Thursday. Pulled some good saves and despite losing 1 ball which was a crazy screamer past the top right post, felt very confidence and feels good after that........

A day on engine dyno..

Today at work, it was boring as hell as not much business was going around, bosses spend most of the time prepping a Chrysler V8 engine for a customer's Dodge Challenger.

Anyway, the V8 engine if not mistaken is a 565 cubic inch or 8.7 liter carburetted OHV engine. Prior to today's testing the engine wasn't going more then 5200rpm and later discovered cracked valve retainers were the culprit. After later dismantling the valve retainers the customer subsequently found out that one of the lifters weren't pushing on the push rod as it should be.

Typically, an OHV (Over Head Valve) configuration engine is an engine with the camshaft on the middle of the engine, as opposed to the Over Head Cam, which have camshaft on the top of the engine. It opens and closes valves via the operation of the Lifter, Push Rod and Rocker Arm.

A lifter, oso called hydraulic tappet, is a device use to maintain a zero-gap between the camshaft lobe and the push rod. The push rod is then attached to the lifter on one end, and to the rocker arm at the other end. Thus when the cam lobe rise over, it will pushes the lifter - push rod - rocker arm, before the rocker arm converts an upward motion into a downward motion and presses down on the valve. The lifter have Hydraulic and Solid type. In which the main difference is that Hydraulic lifter doesn't need adjustments while Solid does. Should theres no lifter in the process, the push rod would not have follow up with the motion of the fast rotating motion of the cam lobe, and thus will result in the valves not opening and closing properly.

The Red square marks the lifters while the Green marks the push rod, while the rocker arm is Yellow.

What happen before hand is that one of the lifter on one of the engine have failed and therefore the customer re-ordered a brand new sets of lifters from America's top brand Crowers. Before this he was using Crane, which is also a top brand. After bolting everything back on smoothly it went on the dyno today. And for everyone that knows or seen how to basically operate a chassis dyno, engine dyno is 10x more difficult.

At first i thought i was looking at some hugely complicated equations and numbers followed by numbers that all seem to be pointing to something but not to my understanding. It is as complicated as piloting a jet fighter, and there is ton of information being shown on the screen, and there are page 2, 3, 4 and so on, so theres almost 4 page full of information displayed that you can extract out of. And this is just from a carburetor engine, imagine a fully computerized EFI engine.....

Some of the 'normal' ones i can get was RPM, Torque, A/F left A/F right ( i assume is air fuel ratio for the left bank and right bank, oil pressure and temp and a little bit more, but wat i learn today, was the term Brake Specific Fuel Consumption. It is actually a measurement for the fuel consumption vs the power being outputted by the engine itself, aka the calculator for fuel efficiency. And in terms of generating big horsepower, everything have to be balance, as the carburetor is a four barrel type and uses two fuel bowl, both the fuel bowl's output volume must balance to a fine tolerance . In this case of the Chrysler engine, the difference between the 2 bowls are just +/- 1. And after just a a few runs, the car was making 650bhp at a increased 6000rpm and a staggering 701 nm of torque from 5100rpm onwards. This is proven to be a heck of a result as this car was meant to be a street car ! With just normal manifold and mild performance oriented parts this prove to be big big success.

But after finish the dyno, my boss suggest that we take the valve cover off to have a look, everyone was still joking about theres crack on the retainers, but then, my boss found something, the new lifters were fucked again ! This time 3 of them.....my boss suspect its something within the oil valley as when we start the engine up it was idling at perfection, but just might be that after the engine was turn off the oil starve up on the lifter.........

Such a shame things like this happens, but in all the bad scenario that it could happen, it happen here on the work shop, so it was a blessing in disguise actually. The customer was relatively positive bout it, stating that now that he knows theres a problem, when he fixed the problem, there will be a horsepower rise for sure !

MATCH 6 Evergreen United 0-3 Kakibangku FC

Today, we played our match against the top players of the league....the Man Utd of EPL, the AC Milan of Serie A, the Real Madrid of La Liga.....we face against....err......Kakibangku FC.....hmm ....

Well to be honest, i just wanted to make our lose seems easier for people to absorb......losing 3-0 in both game back to back and 6 goals conceded in 2 match doesn't sound too positive for other people especially those who have no knowledge in football but still criticizes and gives opinion base on common sense alone......anyway....

Ironically, Kakibangku FC is a team that is based by Malaysian players, with mostly Malay players.....it seem strange, probably cuz i havent heard a Malay player played in such a long time, their language their aggressiveness have faded from my mind, nonetheless, they are still as aggressive and have the tendency to gives you the feeling of a fight is ready to erupt at any time.

Kakibangku FC is currently on the top 2 of the table and is, as expected from typical Malaysia-based team, excels in playing high balls and through balls, as well having a tremendous physical and speed advantage over our players. Clearly they are operating on a higher level than us.

For those of you that followed would probably noticed that i am currently pursuing a 3rd consecutive clean sheet at the moment, and clearly on my 3rd game i conceded 3 goals this time. First goal came from a high long ball that was slow but dipping right on the angle of the goalpost and the goal line, having spotted this i have being able to grap the ball firmly before realizing that my body is slowly 'floating' into the net, unable to do anymore but to push the ball outwards i did, but unfortunately the opponent's striker was already there, 2 infact. And even as i have got up and prepare to recover the loose ball i was finished by the first goal.

2nd and 3rd goal came from corners as poor defending had the defenders just scrambled and couldn't man-marked the scoring players, but nonetheless.......i felt deeply responsible for the first goal and that my reaction, my goal kick, my anticipation could have been better all around today......

We didn't give up anyway, but found hard to penetrate their defence, as speed deters Frank from penetrating, and physical skill deters possession being made possible even by the experienced older players...however credit to the guys for never give up and still fight till the end....

I would really want improve my reaction, my distribution as well as getting yet much more bravery into my own playing style...i started to miss back the old days where i played without fear and 100% aggressive playing style.......would try to set a personal goal of playing back that playing style by the end of the year..........would i make it ???

Finally, i'm getting more intensive goalkeeper training....the new goalkeeper coach is really a great boost for me though, we did some basic diving as well as specialized left and right side dives as apparently my right side dives were the lesser one compare to the left dives, ironically as im a right handed guy ... hmm

Anyway, not much to be said about this training sessions as TIRED, EXHAUSTED, and not the least, EXCITED!

There's one point where, we were having a corner drill, and i was struggling with intercepting, or should i say attack the ball bravely. After quite playing for quite awhile, i began to aware that, a good goalkeeper, when they make a saves, the save comes from their subconscious. Moves or actions that comes out naturally from you without any thinking to make it happen is the purest sense of agility or reflex one could have. After playing for almost 5 years now i still canot explain nor have a way to improve such 'natural reflex' are to no avail.....

But this kinda natural reflex kick in on the training as i just run out and raise my hand, knuckle up, and leg up and with no hesitation at all punch the ball away, even though i collided heavily with a striker and hit straight on my lung and ribs. For that moment i canot breath at all as if my lung collapsed, with pain just streaming out from my lung, but all i can hear was just well done and well done all over my head, and with the coach and all the players give me a hand up while everyone repeatedly pat my head.........

It comes to my head, how that, why everyone pats the scorer in the EPL game or such in such a exaggerated manner, now i realize, as that feeling of some kind of support+encouragement+recognition+all sort of positive feeling u can imagine, is what i would call, my own definition of drug.

At the end of the day, theres one word i will remember forever in my life, and that word alone, will be one of those things that gonna be my motivation in whatever thing in my life....

We faced against the feared Thai FC, which amongst those that is reigning on top of the table at the moment. We've seen them play and was instantly petrified by the way they spread wide open and how accurately and simple their passing is.....

We started out without 3 main key players, as they were away for personal matters and this really brought us down as 2 of the 3 players are responsible for the defensive while the other one was crucial in sense of winning balls and possessions...

Unexpected, we started out our game losing 1 ball within the first 10 minutes from a controversial goal resulting from a hand-ball situation in front of the goal post after the keeper have parry out the ball. The opponent striker than pound on the loose ball with his hand first and then put the ball into the net with his leg. We protested but unbelievably unprofessional referee spoil most of the game for us. And by 1st half we were down 2-0.

2nd half we started out with some good runs and good chances, almost 4 chances we have, but the decision to stick to the middle did not pay out as they've line up all their defenders right at the middle while clearly exposing the wing or side channels. Thai FC weren't at their best shape today, their passing and possessions weren't as pressuring towards us at all, in fact in 2nd half, once we neutralize their center midfield or the "Number 10" of the team their attack simply gone kaput and was nowhere threatening. But by having the "Number 10" covered we sacrifice possessions in the middle and were unable to counterattack fast enough. As a result of another goal ended today's game with a 3-0 defeat.

Thai FC excels in simple and wide covered passes as well as great sense of positioning. They use their position wisely as to they dun need to run around the pitch, rather take zone by zone into account. But sometimes they relies solely on their teammate's passes and distributing. In other words, if we disable one player, almost 50% of the attack can be halt. Or if we disable their partners, they will not have anyone to pass too and this will lead to a mistake. This is my analysis towards them.

Not much chances Thai FC had throughout the game, only about 4 chances and they managed to convert 3 of them into goals, luck plays its part though....

But anyway, our team once again, prove to be no easy match, as we give our all out during the game and that was a noteworthy consolation point for us. Nevertheless, even Wigan got hammered 8-0 by Chelsea isn't it ...

Nike Total 90 Laser II K-FG Review

Started using me new Laser II since the last couple of training....and heres my conclusion.

The shoe, being 0.5 of a size smaller (yes, there is a difference....) and boy does it hurts T.T but nonetheless it fits my leg like a glove, and i must say the lacing system is abit tricky to tie up.....and the e-Vent thing sometimes make ur feet feels weird, like theres something inside your leg or such, but after a while the feel lessens and i was able to use the shoe to lengths i have never ever achieved before.

Accuracy, Power, Swerve, all improved dramatically, and this was on the first time i try it out ~ what i canot do with a shoe i've been wearing for 1 year, i can do it with this shoe which i just wear for 1 day. It is that good!

One thing i would criticize is tat the boot seem fairly heavy....compare to the Laser I it is in a huge difference heavier. But perhaps its due to the smaller size that i experience it.....Just hopes now that it settles in to my leg in the later weeks...

Overall: Being that its my favorite color and possibly the BEST ever color a shoe will ever have, 10/10 ^^^^^

Training 32 and 33

Training 32 and 33 are both freezingggggg, its getting into winter now, so things are starting to get colder, and plus i didn't have a training tracks and i DUN like playing with tracks (long pants), so i have no choice but to bear with the cold freezing weather.

Dun get me wrong, i LOVE cold weather, the colder the better, but not when your wearing just a t-shirt and shorts =.=....

We had a goalkeeper trainer training us these days, and immediately we discovered our weakness, and where are our strong point. I began to understand that my strong points are my speed off the line and ability to sorta 'pre-determine' the journey of the ball. But my weakness is that i dun have enough physical appearance (which im well aware of~~) and my habit of second guessing, sorta too much unnecessary calculations on my brain....

What i really hope i can improve on is my diving and high ball....all those acrobatic saves, how can they do it !?

MATCH 4 Evergreen United 0-0 Revo

Today we played against Revo, a China-based team which is on the top of the league last year. We started out with me as starting goalkeeper, and immediately i spotted something different this time....

Past few games, we always started out losing possessions at the middle and was always pressurized on our first half of the pitch. But this time, is was us that was containing the ball in the middle and was actually, for the first time, moving the ball around.

First half of the game, we play good contain strategy in the middle. Contain means the midfield kept possessions of the ball in the middle, thus 'containing' the ball to our self, and was at times, illustrating some clever switches and back passing to maintain possessions, and although we started out without Frank our speedy striker, and uses Ryan as a lone striker with 老崔 on the back of him supporting him, we still managed to get some good chances and runs into the box but sadly, tall and fast defenders of Revo keep us out from getting a goal. Thing wasn't too dramatic back in our defense line for the first half, the defender have done a very good job at closing down the angles and and the whole team have done well at maintaining and winning back possessions.

Second half starts, and we were on the move. The wings played very well today with Jonathan and Henry both supported the wing perfectly, while 燕航 did a fantastic job today with all the runs and tumbles he suffered from attacking whilst creating chances, a very very good applaud to him as he's almost to he's 40's now.......

This time, instead of getting pressured by other team we were the one that was pressuring on the team and keep on finding way to get past them, as from the start we introduce Frank into the game, they've been playing a very defensive style and have even hand marked Frank as the danger man to them, and once Frank got the ball 2 or 3 defenders were on he's toes. The defenders of Revo are not an easy force to deal with. They are fast, tall, experienced, and was more than capable to disable Frank from scoring goals. Unlucky to us, BQ, who have improve dramatically since the last few matches, manages to create at least 3 chances for us, 2 from fouls and 1 near-goal experience. Sadly the defenders were too much for him and Frank was unable to use his speed in this game. Revo have a couple of good shots for themselves, albeit all denied by me. Some of the noticeable effort i made was the dive out of the post to intercept a cross in from the right side of the field and into the center, subconsciously i know there was a Revo player just beside me and on first reaction i deal with the ball and managed to push it out to the middle for the defenders to clear. And after awhile i managed to get a touch on a free kick and send it over the bar. Nonetheless, final whistle blowed, and i was extremely glad i got my 2nd clean sheet in a row and is now 140 minute un-scored.

Some points i think we can improve, is that the midfield have done a superb job on possessions, but still doesn't quite follow up to the winger when they crosses in. Although doesn't quite follow isn't didn't follow at all, they've surely improve and is now a working motion when we're attacking, but they need to learn to position themselves across near post and far post. As there is one chance today, where the opponent's defender made a mistake, and should there's someone on the far post, we would have gotten a goal. The other thing is, to overcome the dependent nature of us towards Frank as a sole striker and goal scorer, we must develop a Plan B, just in case the opponent we meet in the future does a good job in disabling Frank, in another words, we should deploy more variety in our attacking, whether its from set pieces, runs, or even from free kick and spot kick, when these chances are presence, we must assure that we can score from them. Football is a game of varieties, and most of the times, what works well last game wont work again on the next game, which is why we canot rely on solely one method and the same kinda player all over again, during the whole duration of the league.

Today's game have re-assured some of the uncertainties in my mind of the team's dynamics, fuck today we play a better game then some of La Trobe's game. Nevertheless, even though we ended up 0-0, it was a beautiful game, and it was worth playing, even it doesn't ended up with a winner.

Woohoo, 30th training session, and i was absence AGAIN! =.= but this time there was a really good reason, so good, that i'm going to put up a post for it in the future...hehehe...

But managed to made it from work on Thursday after i finish work late, and did just some few goalkeeping for practice match.....felt sorry that the Thirds still can't find their way as they had their 3rd consecutive loses while after suffering 2 early loses, the Fourths finally got their first win in a 5-3 bombardment. That day i realize and i learn a new thing again, although i can't specified what it is but i greatly felt my goalkeeping is improving just with that extra little something ^^

Also can't wait to try out my new Laser II boot (yes ! i havent try it out on a field yet !) and after months of hardcore usage the glove finally show defects as rubber are getting more slippery means the first layer of rubber have been completely worn out.

GOALKEEPER GLOVE'S SCIENCE.
this can be seen as when u purchase a new glove, the palm area feels sticky and sounds 'squeeky' when u rub against them, this is the first layer of the rubber that u are touching, and usually, this first layer is the layer which gives u grip. While underneath this layer is another series of layers of rubber call 'secondary' layers. Example for a 3mm glove (which means the glove have 3mm of rubber embedded to the surface) the first layer may just covered 0.5mm, and the secondary layers makes up for the 2.5mm. These 'secondary' layers of rubber are there to give cushioning as well as holding the first layer intact, the grip they provided are inferior to the first layer's grip. And after the first layer is worn out, the gloves become slippery, due to the secondary layers, although it looks as if it still got alot of rubber on it.

Another factor that compromises the grip after the first layer is worn is is dust and dirt. The first layer is also there to prevent dust and dirt sticking onto the gloves, after the first layer is worn out, dust and dirt then starts to accumulate to the second layers of rubber and this compromises grip instantly in a huge difference. This is worsens when yours playing in field where the goal post area is mostly covered in sand, one dive, and that's 5 minute washing them. One way to preserve or maintain the glove is to wash it profoundly, as well as keep the glove moistured as this will prolong the life of the rubber, as well as providing some more grip, as rubber when dry is like biscuits, they crumbles into bits and pieces.

The description above is mainly and purely of my experience.... But back to my glove, grip now is still fine, just that now i cannot purely rely on the glove to gives me grip, and that some sewing points have been fucked, making some parts hanging out (due to my careless behavior when putting them on....take time on putting goalkeeper gloves on, as they are hard to be put on, due to the fact they must fit ur arms properly. ) But is still alrite, i guess its good till the rest of the season finish.

MATCH 3 Evergreen Utd 1-2 MCU

Third match of our league game was againts a team called MCU, which is a Hong Kong based team which i didn't played as it was Simon our first choice keeper's turn, but surprise to us, it was pack with Aussie players, including a Colombian ex-National Youth player...

As the score above probably have stated there that we lost the game, but wasn't to a un-fruitful one. We was bombarded by a series of controversial and unprofessional refereeing, and as a result a free kick from the top right of the penalty box, MCU scored as our first choice GK couldn't handle well the ball that was coming in and as a result the opposing player managed to tip in a goal. After a short while, yet another free kick was presented to them at the exact same site of the penalty box's top right angle. Diago, a Colombian ex-National Youth player, whip in a perfectly angled free kick and claim the goal. And for the whole first half we were pressured by them but was in no means of worse than them.

Second half started, and we started playing alot of through balls and counter attack from the middle. On the record we have 5 one-by-one chances by yet Lady Luck was on their side as none of them was converted to a goal. But anyhow, on the last 10 minutes, the pressure was on our side and we managed to hold them on their own half of the pitch while bombarding them with crosses and passes, and Frank prove to be a winner with a swift run into the penalty box and a cool finish ended it. More attack was put out by us and we managed to get a cross which resulted with Frank connected with a header on goal! Sadly the ball hit the bar and did not went in as a result. To be honest, the goal was a bit shorter in height, and the bar was crooked that it literally just hangs down on the middle, means the middle was the lowest part of the bar, should its a straight line it would have been 100% a goal. But sadly, unlucky is what hit our team today.

The point where i say it wasn't un-fruitful, was that even though we were againts all the odds today, they have better player, they have kickers, well organized, but still we were still able to bombard them with attacks and chances as well. It doesn't mean that, if overall we lose to them, it doesn't necessarily means that we've 100% lose, this is what football is, its never a thing that can be measured in percentage, it keeps on changing. What i am really proud of is that our team didn't even have the urge to give up, and that we're always on the move. We could have turn the tables around but clearly, unlucky~
